Embracing Fears: Radical Self Acceptance
The cold truth about your uniqueness in the universe...
Embrace Your Unique Self
Hello Connecters,
This week is special.
I want to discuss something that is hard to grasp yet simple to integrate.
There are many things we can’t change about ourselves and we just have to accept that.
If we want to be free and flow with radiant energy in the world, we have to surrender to what we can’t control.
But…
Be open because Your life can change.
You can elevate your own confidence in yourself by trying to maximize personal growth in ways that you know can grow.
So let us begin…
Accepting yourself
We all have flaws in our design that keep us up at night.
There are many insecurities that one has about themselves.
Whether it’s physical, such as I don’t like my hair, my skin, my body, or my nose.
It can also be mental, such as you don’t like your attitude, your mindset, or just how you think in general.
Many people think they are being judged constantly when in reality people are so focused on themselves that they rarely have enough time to care about someone else.
Understanding that you are your worst critic and that no one can be as harsh as you are on yourself is the first step in accepting yourself.
To accept is to surrender to what is, don’t be a victim of your shortcomings.
Understand that you are unique in your own ways and learn to accept yourself as a fallible human.
This doesn’t mean that you can’t seek to improve yourself, either physically or mentally, but the first thing you should do is accept the things you can’t change.
This can be a daunting task for anyone but once you recognize and become aware of it, you realize that you aren’t such a bad person after all.
Your flaws or the language that surrounds them, are literally the universe expressing you in its own unique way to the world.
Imagine how boring life would be if everyone were the same.
It would be a terrible world.
Flipping Fear
Fear is something that is daunting for all of us.
Fear is the excuse you make when you don’t want to do something.
It’s the feeling you get when you are about to embark on something that is uncomfortable.
The pain in your chest or stomach when you have an important presentation.
The crippling anxiety when you have to perform in front of a crowd.
Fear is something all of us experience in our lives.
It’s a built-in evolutionary response to keep us safe and our bodies in homeostasis.
What if there was a way to get over that feeling of dreaded unknowns?
Because fear is quite literally a response to internal trauma that has been built up from past experiences that you don’t want to experience in the future.
In order to overcome fear, you have to redefine what the feeling means to you.
This is what I call flipping fear.
Turning the feeling of increased heart rate, sweat responses, and shortness of breath and flipping it into a different feeling of how you view it in your own mind.
So rather than being scared or fearful, think of your feelings as being excited or grateful for the opportunity and journey you are about to commence.
Having this mindset will allow you to think in a way that gets you toward what you want more often.
With fear comes uncertainty and the unknown.
There are so many things you can’t control in the future, don’t let your mind afray and lose track of the things you actually can control. (ie. your mindset, outlook, effort, preparation)
Controlling the controllables brings us to our next point which is to surrender and be at peace for what you do have, be grateful for what you are given, and let gratitude run through your veins.
Accept yourself fully in order to thrive.
Radical self-acceptance is the unconditional acceptance of oneself, including flaws, mistakes, and vulnerabilities.
Without Judgment: Control the Controllables
To judge is to give your negative energy out onto the world.
Everything flows with energy and that negativity can be picked up by the universe and used in ways that won’t help you achieve your dreams.
The world is a place where it picks up on anything, if the frequency or vibe is off, it will know and it won’t make life any easier.
The worst amount of negativity and judgment you can allow to enter this world is when you judge yourself.
It’s one thing to be aware of your flaws.
So that you can change and develop a plan to change them.
An example could be going to the gym or talking about your emotions so you can heal.
But the worst part is fighting your flaws that you can’t change and being disrespectful towards your soul, by channeling negativity toward that phenomena.
In order to be okay with your flaws, you have to recognize that they really aren’t flaws in the first place.
They are anecdotes to your uniqueness as a human on this planet.
You have to fully surrender to what you have so your body and mind can live in peace.
Everyone in this world has things they cannot change, and it might eat inside them to the point where they don’t want to live anymore.
Rather than putting all of your energy, time, and thoughts into them, I would recommend working towards change in areas that you know are possible.
This gives you the confidence that you have done everything in your power to maximize your mind, body, and soul.
So…
Maximize areas of growth:
Health
Soul
Mindset
Effort
Preparation
Attitude
Emotional intelligence
Productivity level
Your time
View of yourself
How you treat people
Living in the present moment
and hinder areas you can’t control:
Past
Future
Other people
Your Face
Bodily imperfections or unproportions
Motivations of others
Your parents
Your raw emotions
What other people
THINK
FEEL
DO
SEE
OR say about you
There is only so much time in your life, don’t waste it subscribing to negative people, or a negative view of yourself or the world.
Try to be as open as possible when it comes to embracing yourself by the simple fact that you know you can’t change who you are, you can only grow in other ways.
The odds of you being here are slim to none, Surrender to suffering and your uniqueness to free yourself from internal thought loops from hell, a sickening hatred towards yourself which ultimately projects towards other people, the world, and the universe as a whole.
Find peace in yourself and love who are you.
Raddically accept yourself.
Thank you once again for reading,
Everyone who reads this far I love you.
Try to go live out your days with peace, love, humility, and gratitude.
There’s not much time in our lives so why don’t we all make a pact to love ourselves so we can have the opportunity to love other people and connect to the universe wholeheartedly.
Surrender to the uniqueness of your human fallibility, become aware of the parts in which you need more growth, and find actionable steps to achieve those goals.
Optimize your soul by welcoming and embracing fear as a natural part of life.
Use it in a different way, where you are excited to take on challenges and embrace the uncertainty.
Life is filled with opportunities if you love yourself.
learn to grow, and work towards a goal that fulfills your human spirit.
We are not perfect so don’t take yourself so seriously.
Love,
Cole D.
Have an amazing day!
